In early January, longtime Smith Center volleyball and girls’ basketball coach Nick Linn underwent emergency double heart bypass surgery. At that point, the Lady Red were 6-1 in basketball. Linn couldn’t coach the rest of the winter and eventually lost 30 pounds.
